Doh Eain Attended Global Placemaking Week 2017

Doh Eain along with over 400 representatives from 45 other countries participated in the Global Placemaking Week in Amsterdam this week.

The Project for Public Spaces defines placemaking as follows: “Placemaking capitalises on a local community’s assets, inspiration and potential, and it results in the creation of quality public spaces that contribute to people’s health, happiness, and well being.”

Organised by the Project for Public Spaces based in New York, and STIPOThe City at Eye Level, and Pakhuis de Zwijger based in Amsterdam, the conference brought together leading practitioners.

Doh Eain was proud to present Yangon’s Alleygarden Project and other ideas for improving community and public space in Yangon. In the coming period we will be sharing more placemaking inspiration from across the world as well as ideas and plans for Yangon.
