Pyae (also known as Rae) is a dedicated civic leader and challenge-driven individual with a strong passion for promoting diversity, inclusivity, and sustainable development. With a proven commitment to civic engagement, Pyae has led and implemented numerous activities and workshops focused on sexual freedom and gender equality, working collaboratively with both local and ASEAN youth communities before 2020.

In recognition of their leadership, Pyae was selected to participate in the Young Southeast Asian Leaders Initiative (YSEALI), where they studied Civic Engagement at Northern Illinois University. Furthering their expertise, Pyae also completed a study in Disaster Risk Reduction at the University of the Philippines and actively volunteered in rural areas of Manila through the ASEAN Youth Volunteer Program.

One of Pyae’s most significant accomplishments includes representing Myanmar at the Generation Democracy summit in Washington, D.C. This experience deepened their commitment to empowering youth and strengthening democratic participation within local communities.

Driven by a deep sense of purpose and a global perspective, Pyae continues to contribute meaningfully to efforts aimed at advancing equity, youth empowerment, gender equality, and community resilience across Southeast Asia.
