Emilie has been based in Myanmar since early 2013 working on heritage and nature conservation. An anthropologist by training, she is interested in social business opportunities that make use of and preserve cultural and natural capital while creating sustainable community impact. Emilie is the founder and director of Doh Eain, where she focuses on overall strategy and business development.

Beverly Salmon
Chief Operation Officer

Beverley is an architect whose expertise lies in resilient rural & urban development in an international context, and in the conservation of historic buildings. She has been involved in various aspects of sustainable building & infrastructure projects throughout Asia & Africa. Her project process has focused on community engagement, participatory design and working with local stakeholders. Bev is particularly passionate about low-tech sustainable interventions. At Doh Eain she leads operations.

Kyros Shirazi
Chief Financial Officer

Kyros is a seasoned finance professional whose career spans more than two decades across three continents. Most recently, Kyros co-founded Lapidary Limited, a Hong Kong-based investment firm focused on for-profit, socially impactful early-stage companies in Asia. Lapidary’s founding thesis believes that private capital can be effectively harnessed to address key social issues in Asia and beyond. Prior to founding Lapidary, his experience includes 13+ years of extensive investment banking work in London, New York, and San Francisco. Kyros holds a B.S. with a concentration in Finance from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.

Bryan Andersen
Global Marketing Director

Bryan is a hands-on brand marketer and strategist. After working with Nike Foundation and Nemo Design in Portland, United States, he moved to work in Myanmar’s exciting emerging advertising and marketing industry. He has over ten years of global brand marketing, research, strategy, account management and production experience on both the client and agency side. At Heritage Homes, he is focused on tactical marketing executions fueled by succinct and powerful brand messaging.

Oskars Tuns
Chief Digital Officer

Oskars is a professional solutions founder and also founded an e-commerce development company in Georgia. As Chief Digital Officer at Doh Eain Oskars focuses on identifying, building, and integrating digital tools and platforms in our internal workflows as well as for our external activities with partners, clients, and beneficiaries. 

Dennis Hapatinga
Chief Marketing Officer

Dennis is a seasoned marketing professional with a distinguished career spanning over 17 years, encompassing both below-the-line and through-the-line marketing. He has played a pivotal role in the development and implementation of the Our Heritage Homes brand, initially assisting in establishing the Membership Services team across diverse regions, subsequently advancing to oversee the Sales division, and presently assuming leadership of the Marketing and Communications functions. His substantial expertise extends to digital marketing, new media strategies, database management, and analytics, enabling the optimisation of campaigns. Notably, prior to joining Doh Eain, Dennis possesses extensive experience in managing regional projects for Fortune 500 companies, with a focus on diverse markets including Hong Kong, Singapore, Malaysia, Vietnam, India, Cambodia, Myanmar, and the Philippines.

Dennis is deeply committed to the promotion of sustainable travel practices and advocating for the preservation and safeguarding of heritage properties. He adeptly combines this advocacy with modern technology and digital innovations to further advance these initiatives

Giorgi has been a professional IT specialist since 2013 with a degree of Computer Science and Robotics. Currently, he is working as a WordPress Developer for the Heritage Homes platform.

Uzeyir Shabanav
Lavarel Developer

Uzeyir graduated from the Faculty of Information Technologies of Davit Agmashenebeli University of Georgia and started learning web development in 2019. From January 2021 he decided to become a back-end developer and mastered Lavarel. He now has more than one and a half years of experience as a Lavarel developer.

Luka graduated from Damascus University with a Bachelor of Arts in Translation. To follow his passion for analysis and start a new journey, he has successfully completed CS50 and Google Data Analytics Professional Certificate. Luka also has 10 years of experience in Administration and Customer Support.

Tun Ye Wai
Director of Property & Design

Tun is a born and bred Yangonian and an architect. He has worked in the Myanmar architecture industry for over ten years after graduating from Deakin University in Australia. Tun has always been fascinated by the architectural heritage of Yangon. He dreams of making Yangon a better place by getting involved with projects that revitalize the built environment. His mission is to use his education and experience to help shape a society that utilises design to serve the needs of all peoples.

Hau Lian Kap @ Joseph Kap Pi
Construction Manager

Hau Lian Kap, also known as Joseph Kap Pi, is from Kalaymyo and studied at Thailand Wittayalai Vocation College. He is dedicated to preserving heritage and revitalising urban areas. Through Doh Eain, he works on heritage conservation and urban renewal projects, aiming to restore historic buildings and create new public spaces in Yangon.

Ei Thinzar Naing
Architect

Ei Thinzar Naing, also known as Nile, obtained her Master's degree in Architecture from Mandalay Technological University in 2020. With four years of experience in architectural workshops, urban-related workshops, heritage conservation conferences, and architecture design, she has demonstrated a comprehensive understanding of the field. Currently employed as an Architect at the Design and Restoration Department, she also serves as the project manager for the "Our Heritage Homes" creative video project on YouTube.

Nay Myo Htet
Assistant Architect

Nay Myo, a dedicated undergraduate architect and a Young City Shapers alumni, began his internship with us in 2022. His strong passion for heritage buildings, public spaces, and climate-resilient architecture motivated him to choose Doh Eain as his initial architecture practice. Since joining, he has been actively involved as an Assistant Architect in our restoration and placemaking projects, with a vision to enhance Yangon's livability, inclusivity, and resilience to climate challenges.

Cho Cho Shwe
Head of Community Engagement & Participatory Design

Cho is a practicing architect, graduated with a Bachelor of Architecture at 2012 and has gained more than five years of experience in Architecture. She had been involved in the Secretariat Building Conservation Project and has been working to become a heritage conservation architect. She believes that Myanmar has intrinsic and unique historical heritage and built environment but no specific laws and regulations yet, which is the main reason she joined Doh Eain to preserve and conserve the Yangon’s built heritage as much as possible.

Swan Yee Tun Lwin
Landscape Designer & Project Manager

Swan graduated summa cum laude (Highest Honors) from Berkeley City College with a concentration in Natural Sciences before transferring to University of California, Berkeley to complete her B.A. in Landscape Architecture with a focus in City and Regional Planning. She became interested in public spaces after studying abroad in Singapore where she experienced first hand the positive difference it makes on the quality of life for residents. In the face of climate change, Swan hopes to incorporate natural systems and elements with the city through her designs for a more livable and sustainable urban landscape.

San Tint
Interior Designer

San graduated with a B.A. in English from Dagon University but growing up at the heart of downtown Yangon, she has always been passionate about architecture and design since childhood. Having worked in the art and creative society such as the Yangon Photo Festival or the Pyinsa Rasa arts collective, through traveling to European cities and medieval villages, she became inspired by restored heritage buildings and industrial design. She studied Interior Design at the Zigmund-Ku School Of Design in Yangon and received a Diploma. As a freelancer, she has designed and renovated modern apartments, gallery art spaces, or colonial flats. In 2020, she interned at Doh Eain and eventually became part of the team. In her free time, San loves to cycle around downtown Yangon and explore colonial buildings.

Hnin Eaindra Lwin
Architectural Design Assistant

Lwin has over 4 years of experience in Architecture. She completed her Bachelor of Architecture from West Yangon Technological University. Lwin has been working in a graduate architect position and has had the opportunity to be involved in both modern and historic architectural projects. Her main interest is to continue to study architectural restoration techniques and history with the aim to restore and conserve historic buildings.

Jerome Sterckx
Head of Property Management

A recovered former investment banker working in the US and the UK, Jerome landed in Yangon in 2014 and found himself opening a yoga studio shortly after. Supported by a thriving community, a vegan restaurant and a spa followed. Experiencing first hand the power of community building through these ventures, Jerome joined Doh Eain in 2018 as an interim-CFO to scale up his impact armed with spreadsheets, ledgers and cash books. He's now taken those skills and keen eye to our Property Management of Heritage Homes.

Natia Kalandarishvili
Head of Memberships & Services – Georgia

Natia’s professional background comes from public service. Until 2016, she led the international relations departments at several public institutions. Currently, she is Deputy Head of the Open Government Partnership (OPG) work group at Tbilisi City Hall, co-Founder of the Tbilisi Architecture Biennial, co-Founder and Director of the digital art festival Digital Tbilisi, co-Founder and Production director of Georgian gift and souvenir production company MAZERART and co-Founder and Art Editor of the quarterly magazine INTERIERI. In 2014, she was awarded the title of Marshall Center Scholar at George C. Marshall Center – European Center for Security Studies.

Melanio L. Martinez Jr.
Membership Services & Community Management Officer - The Philippines

Mel is a professional registered and licensed architect (RLA) in the Philippines after he passed his January 2020 licensure exam. He was appointed as Membership Services & Community Management Officer at Doh Eain in April 2022. He graduated from Bulacan State University with a Bachelor of Science in Architecture and is also currently enrolled in a Master of Architecture Major in Architectural Heritage Conservation.
Alongside working in Doh Eain, he is a Project Architect of ALPHA Architects where he grew since 2012.

Thurane Win
Property Management Officer - Myanmar

Thurane received his degree in Economics from Dagon University, as well as completed training as a licensed English-language tour guide. Before joining Doh Eain he worked for a major telecom organization as a project coordinator. Thurane first joined Doh Eain as a part-time tour guide for our Living History Walking Tours but his commitment to the history and people of Yangon soon led him to join full time. Since 2018 he has supported the property management of Heritage Homes. He is responsible for the marketing of heritage restoration proposition to homeowners, as well as providing high quality tenant support.

Gulam Hla Tin
Operations Manager

Gulam is a former seaman and “jack of all trades”. Gulam’s apartment was the first renovation project under Doh Eain, and he has been involved in all other projects since. Gulam helps oversee construction works, maintenance and supports our tenants.

Joseph Ka Pi
Construction Officer

Joseph (who also uses the name Hau Lina Kap) grew up in Kalaymyo near Chin State and has lived in both Myanmar and Thailand. He is proud a graduate of Mae Sot Technical College, Science and Technology Training Center and before joining Doh Eain Joseph worked a construction officer for a.gor.a Architects team under Suwamimit Foundation. He has worked on a diverse scale of projects from building the New Mae Toa Clinic, dormitories and institutional campus buildings to constructing a number of schools and playgrounds. After five years doing this work along the Thai-Myanmar boarder, Joseph moved to Yangon and joined Doh Eain to focus on heritage conservation and urban renewal projects. He is passionate about restoring and upgrading heritage buildings and creating new public spaces in Yangon.

Anna Livia Cullinan
Director of Research, Community Engagement & Education

Anna livia is the Head of Community Engagement and Research leading the cross-cutting work of deep engagement and co-design with the community across our projects. She leads the design and development of our Girl-Led Placemaking projects which began in 2019 with the support of the SPRING Accelerator. Since moving to Yangon over 5 years ago Anna Livia has worked as a creative director for community outreach and cultural programming for multiple heritage projects including the 491-501 Merchant Street restoration and Heritage Works Yangon. Before studying urban design Anna livia worked as a set decorator for feature films and commercials in Los Angeles. She received a BA in history from Trinity College Dublin and her MSc in Building and Urban Design in Development at the University College London. Anna Livia's current focus is on scaling the girl focus throughout Doh Eain's work as well as continuing to expand and improve Doh Eain's inclusive design, integration of tech-based solutions, impact measurement methods and research services.

Thurein Aung
Senior Public and Educational Outreach Manager

Thurein holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Computer Studies, Yangon. After graduation, he worked in the education and tourism sectors before finding his true calling as an avid advocate for heritage conservation and urban sustainability. Before joining Doh Eain, he worked for Yangon Heritage Trust as a program officer, focusing on research, training, outreach, and public relations.  At Doh Eain, Thurein leads public and educational outreach programs including capacity-building training, events, webinars, and Young City Shapers initiative. Born and raised in Yangon, he is a history buff and enjoys rediscovering the city’s lost pasts.

 

Wutt Yee Myo Myint
Training and Outreach Officer

Wutt Yee received a Bachelor of Architecture from West Yangon Technological University and completed her MSc in Urban Environmental Management at the Asian Institute of Technology, Thailand. Before joining Doh Eain, she worked for Yangon Heritage Trust as a Program Assistant for the inventory survey and documentation of heritage buildings in Yangon. In 2019, Wutt Yee participated in a project in that YHT technically supported YCDC to upgrade streets in downtown Yangon. With her interest in sustainable urbanism, Wutt Yee chose neighbourhood walkability in the Yangon CBD area as her master's research thesis. At Doh Eain, she focuses on capacity building, education, and outreach activities, including the Young City Shapers program and the We the City talk series.

Pyae Phyo Zaw
Community Engagement Officer

Pyae Phyo Zaw graduated from West Yangon Technological University with Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering. His ambition for Yangon is to make more livable and sustainable city. In his role as a Community Engagement Officer Pyae has support various Alley Garden Public Space Transformation projects, leading the workshops, meetings and co-design with the local community through the delivery of a project.

Soh Pyay
Community Engagement Officer

Soh Pyay graduated from Myanmar Aerospace Engineering University and has volunteering experience for various backgrounds (Psychology, People with Disabilities, Drug awareness campaign for teens, etc). He loves working, learning, and sharing with living things (not mechanism).

Even in small matters, he would like to contribute to the community to be peaceful, livable, and sustainable. With the Doh Eain Team, Direct Cash Transfer for Street Vendors around the city.

Lae Yamin Maung @ Jerry
Community Resilience Assistant

Lae Yamin Maung aka Jerry studied at National Management Degree College specializing in Tourism and Hospitality Management. She started joining Doh Eain as a Volunteer Program and Capacity Building Intern. And after that, her interest and commitment to the development of community people led her to join as a full-time. As a Community Resilience Assistant, she is responsible for supporting the needs of the communities we work with in Yangon and building partnerships with various community groups to ensure high-quality and inclusive community engagement that recognizes the skills and needs of the people.

Ye Zaw Khant
Marketing Manager

Ye Zaw is a creative and dedicated professional with a passion for advertising and technology. He plays a pivotal role in leading the development of marketing strategies, database management, content creation, campaign optimization, media plans and digital advertising under the guidance of the chief marketing officer to ensure effective execution.

Outside of work, Ye Zaw finds joy in exploring machine learning, with Python being his favourite language. Additionally, he is an enthusiastic runner who enjoys challenging himself with 10 km runs on weekends.

Nyein is a communications professional deeply passionate about preserving Yangon's rich architectural heritage. At Doh Eain, she creates content and stories aimed at promoting the development of vibrant, inclusive, and sustainable cities across the organisation's social media platforms and other communication channels.

Outside of work, Nyein enjoys exploring downtown Yangon, uncovering its hidden historical narratives, and deepening her appreciation for the city's architectural gems.

Junior Content Writer & Social Media Coordinator

Phyo Zarni has harboured a profound affinity for writing since her high school years, despite initially embarking on a career in business management and possessing a background in business development from her previous employment. Opting to explore a new professional path in content writing and digital marketing, she joined Doh Eain. Furthermore, the organisation's dedication to urban sustainability and heritage conservation served as an additional impetus for her decision to join the team.

Soe Lwin is a self-taught designer with 15 years of experience, specialising in visual design, photography, and videography. He learned design basics and software during part-time jobs while studying and continues to hone his skills. Soe Lwin has contributed to various publications and NGOs, showcasing his expertise in design and photography. At Doh Eain, he supports the team with his creative talents and visual expertise.

Lin Thiri Khin
Head of Finance & HR

Thiri’s main responsibilities include organising and enhancing financial processes, overseeing the finance team, and providing coaching and training as needed. She has also been involved in special projects aimed at fostering more resilient, inclusive, and sustainable urban environments, while simultaneously preserving cultural heritage to enrich communities globally.

Su Mon graduated from Dagon University majoring in Geography. She has almost 7 years of experience in Accounting and has worked in a Senior Accountant position at Myint Mo Oo Carton-Box Manufacturing and Finance and HR officer at Seedstars Myanmar Company.

HR and Admin Manager

Si Thu Linn brings over 9 years of expertise in the HR and administrative domains. Joining Doh Eain as the HR and Admin Manager in February 2024, he holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from Dagon University. Additionally, he has acquired Diplomas in Human Resource Management and Strategic Management. In his role, Si Thu Linn plays a pivotal role in overseeing HR functions, ensuring organizational efficiency, and fostering employee satisfaction while cultivating a harmonious work environment.
