In Loving Memory of Aunty Yee Yee

၁၉၈၂ ကတည်းက ဘိုကလေးဈေးလမ်းမှာ နေထိုင်ခဲ့သူ၊ ကျွန်တော်တို့ ချစ်သော အန်တီရည်ရည် (Gori) ဇူလိုင်လ ၂၂ရက်နေ့က သူမနေအိမ်မှာပဲ ငြိမ်းချမ်းစွာကွယ်လွန်သွားခဲ့တာ မကြာမီ တစ်လပြည့်တော့မည်ဖြစ်သည်။ ဒီနှစ်ဆိုလျှင် သူမ အသက် ၉၂ ပြည့် ဖြစ်မည်။ သူမရဲ့ သား ကိုကူလန်း၏ ဦးဆောင်မှုနှင့် အန်တီ့တိုက်ခန်းက 'ဒို့အိမ်' ပြုပြင်ထိန်းသိမ်းရတဲ့ ပထမဆုံး ရှေးဟောင်းတိုက်ခန်းဖြစ်လာခဲ့သည်။ ရန်ကုန်ရှိသူတို့မိသားစုတိုက်ခန်းလေးကို ထိန်းသိမ်းမွမ်းမံပြီး မိသားစုပုံမှန်ဝင်ငွေရအောင် ယနေ့ထက်တိုင် ကျွန်တော်တို့နဲ့ အတူတကွ လက်တွဲလုပ်ဆောင်နေကြတုန်းပင် ဖြစ်သည်။

ထိုပထမဆုံး ပရောဂျက်ကပဲ ယနေ့ 'ဒို့အိမ်' ဖြစ်လာဖို့ လမ်းပြခဲ့ခြင်းဖြစ်သည်။ ထိိုပထမဆုံး ပရောဂျက်ကပဲ အမွေအနှစ်တိုက်ခန်း ပိုင်ရှင်များနှင့် ထိုသူတို့နေထိုင်ရာ ရပ်ရွာတိုးတက်ကောင်းမွန်ဖို့အတွက် ရေရှည်ပုံမှန်ဝင်ငွေ ဖန်တီးပေးဖို့ ဆိုတဲ့ ကျွန်တော်တို့ ရည်မှန်းချက်ကို ပုံဖော်ပေးခဲ့ခြင်းဖြစ်သည်။ အခုလို ဆုံးရှုံးမှုအတွက် ကိုကူလန်းမိသားစုနှင့် ထပ်တူ ဒို့အိမ်အဖွဲ့သားများ ဝမ်းနည်းကြေကွဲရပါသည်။ ကျွန်တော်တို့ရှိခဲ့ဖူးသော အမှတ်တရများအတွက်လည်း ကျေးဇူးတင်ရပါသည်။

ဇူလိုင်လ ၂၂ ရက်နေ့တွင် အန်တီသည် သူမ၏နောက်ဆုံးထွက်သက်ကို သူမနေအိမ်၊ သူမချစ်သော မိသားစုများ လက်ပေါ်တွင် ညင်သာတိတ်ဆိတ်စွာ ကုန်ဆုံးခဲ့ပါသည်။

Our beloved Aunty Yee Yee (aka Gori), who has lived in Bogalay Zay street since 1982, passed away peacefully at home on July 22, aged 92. Led by her son Ko Gulam, Aunty's apartment is the first apartment Doh Eain has renovated in Yangon. We restored their family apartment in Yangon, and until today, we are still working together to achieve a sustainable income, and most important of all, preserve their family apartment. 

Our first project has guided us towards where Doh Eain is today. It has shaped our mission to generate sustainable income for the heritage homeowners and for the betterment of the community in which they live. Our heartfelt condolences to Ko Gulam and family, and we are grateful for the fond memories we have had. 

Aunty took her final breath on July 22, holding hands with the love of her family at home.
